Hillside Lake Estate

Before & After Gallery

This beautiful lake property is nestled on 100 acres of gorgeous wooded hill side and has a panoramic view of a beautiful Texas Lake. The weekend home, originally built in the 50’s, had been remodeled numerous times and was in need of serious updating. The owners were well experienced in the renovation process and performed extensive research and interviews with other contractors before selecting the design / build services of the Fred Parker Company to create this incredible project for their growing family. Ron Parker, AIBD Building Designer and Custom Builder and Lila Parker ASID Interior Designer, spent considerable time with the owners determining the needs and desires for this project. The companies approach to determine a base line cost for the project with options and allowances for specialized amenities worked very well with the needs and budgets of the client. It was understood from the initial walk through with the owner the importance of maintaining the character and charm of the home.

The property offered significant design potential by capitalizing on the incredible view of the lake, taking in a screened in porch for a dining area and opening the kitchen to the Living area. Valences were utilized to create an ideal opportunity for solar shading throughout the home. The charming wood beams, and painted brick were kept and blended with the new craftsman style décor. Special designed cabinets enhanced the home in the Kitchen, Living Area, all bathrooms, and Laundry Area. The existing interior painted brick and many of the beautiful wood beams were kept and refinished. Traditional hickory hardwood floors, quartz countertops, and indirect LED lighting was utilized. An outdoor living area with cooking and stainless-steel cable railings was installed.

This project was a tremendous success and it was a great honor and pleasure working with the owners in creating this very special property. We accomplished a primary objective of meeting or exceeding our clients expectations while building relationships for life as stated in the wonderful Houzz Review submitted for their appreciation.
